We have just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with a trip to Venice. It was the first time I have been to Italy, even though I have Italain ancestors! We were due to go Sunday to Wednesday, but because of a passport difficulty (see later post!) we ended up going Tuesday (our actual anniversery) to Friday.
Although I knew that Venice was full of canals, and sinking I hadn't realised the full extent of the watery environment. It is absolutely gorgeous! Everywhere you turn there are beautiful buildings, little alleyways and pretty little bridges - no cars, how fantastic!
